We will be starting up our annual focus on   Operation Christmas Child soon!  This is where we collect shoeboxes packed with small gifts for children around the world.  If you intend to participate this year, please be aware that many stores are currently having summer clearance and back to school sales.  This is a great time of year to pick up fun and useful items for your shoebox at a great price!  Some suggested items include colored pencils, coloring books, toothbrushes, combs, small stuffed animals, etc.  We have empty red and green boxes available at the church if you would like to get one started now (see Angela Dibbert to get one).

There is a workshop in Kearney on Saturday, September 7, from 10-11:30 am if you would like to learn more about this important project.  See Angela Dibbert for more information.  She would love to have someone go with her to learn more about OCC.  We will also have a special guest on Sunday, September 29, who will  present to us the impact of OCC boxes.

Campaigning begins Sunday, October 1, and the boxes will be delivered in mid-November (6 Sundays).  If you have any questions, contact Angela Dibbert (402.429.2634).
