Why did Jesus die? Why did He not save Himself from enduring the crucifixion? Today, we will study the crucifixion and learn that the answers to these questions can be summed up in one word – “Love!”

John chapters 18-19 give a detailed account of the events before and during Jesus’ “trials” the night before He was crucified. These events are important to know as they remind us that all people, religious, political, or otherwise, can do unjust and terrible things while thinking they are in the right.
